Costs & Insurance

Choosing treatment is one of the most important investments a family can make, and we understand that navigating costs and insurance can feel overwhelming. Our goal is to help families clearly understand their options while providing the highest level of care possible.

Insurance Coverage

Telos works with many families who utilize insurance benefits to help offset the cost of treatment. Coverage varies significantly depending on the insurance plan, level of care, medical necessity criteria, and whether benefits are in-network or out-of-network.

Our team can help families:

  • Verify behavioral health benefits
  • Estimate potential coverage and out-of-pocket costs
  • Explain deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums
  • Navigate authorization and utilization review processes
  • Understand residential, PHP, and IOP benefit structures

While insurance may cover portions of treatment, families should expect that some expenses may remain their responsibility depending on their plan and coverage limitations.

Out-of-Network Benefits

Many Telos programs operate as out-of-network providers. This allows our clinical teams greater flexibility to individualize treatment rather than being limited by some of the restrictions commonly associated with in-network care.

Families with strong out-of-network benefits may receive substantial reimbursement from their insurance company. Our admissions and utilization review teams work closely with families throughout this process.

In-Network Options

Certain levels of care and programs may have in-network agreements with select insurance providers. Availability and eligibility vary by program and insurance carrier.

Our admissions team can help determine:

  • Which programs may qualify for in-network benefits
  • Whether residential, PHP, or IOP services are covered
  • What financial responsibilities families should anticipate
  • Tuition & Payment

Treatment costs vary depending on:

  • Program type and level of care

  • Length of stay
  • Academic and clinical needs
  • Housing and support services
